This Penetrometer is used to test the needle penetration of petroleum asphalt for road, polymer modified asphalt penetration and liquid petroleum asphalt distillation or the residue after evaporation of emulsified asphalt recording by 0.1mm.

When the tester automatically control the temperature, the penetrometer measured with the displacement sensor and automatically calculate the average, equipped with 20 times the magnifying glass and spotlights, convenient and intuitive.

Working Principle

Under the specified temperature and time conditions, a standard needle with a certain weight is inserted vertically into the asphalt sample, and the penetration depth of the standard needle is measured using a digital displacement sensor to characterize the hardness and thinness of the asphalt.
