The asphalt rutting tester is a device used to evaluate the rutting resistance of asphalt mixtures under high temperature conditions. 

Working principle:

The asphalt rutting tester evaluates the anti rutting performance of asphalt mixtures by simulating the rolling action of vehicles on asphalt pavements in high-temperature environments. During the experiment, place the prepared asphalt mixture specimens on the test bench and set the required temperature and load conditions. The test wheel repeatedly rolls the specimen under specified temperature and pressure, and evaluates the anti rutting performance of asphalt mixture by measuring the deformation of the specimen within a certain period of time (such as rutting depth).

Application

This Bitumen Wheel Tracking Device measures asphalt mixture high-temperature rutting resistance and calculates the dynamic stability of the asphalt mixture. Under specified temperature and load conditions, it determines the deformation rate of rubber wheel ruts formed by reciprocal motion.

The number of passes required to generate every 1mm of deformation is recorded. This equipment is also used for testing the high-temperature stability of asphalt mixtures at construction sites.

Standard: EN 12697-22 - Test method for wheel-track testing of compacted hot-mix asphalt and Bituminous Mixtures.

The Double Wheel Tracker features a convenient, user-friendly design with an automatic system to raise or lower the trial rubber tires. It is capable of testing two specimens simultaneously, significantly improving laboratory efficiency.
